Anxiety therapy
For chronic worry, panic, and the kind of anxiety that doesn’t show on the outside. Work that goes past coping skills to what keeps the alarm switched on.
Free 15-minute consultationAnxiety isn’t always panic attacks. For a lot of people it runs quietly in the background for years, and they only call it stress.
If you’re functioning well and still feel this way, that’s common and it’s treatable. Anxiety doesn’t have to reach crisis before it’s worth addressing.
Most people have already tried to manage anxiety on their own: breathing exercises, exercise, cutting caffeine, talking it through with friends. Those help, and they often stop working, because they treat the symptom rather than what’s generating it.
Anxiety usually has a history. A nervous system that learned to stay alert for good reason, a family where things could shift without warning, a period when being prepared for everything was genuinely necessary. The alarm made sense once. The work is understanding what it’s still responding to.
My approach is integrative, which means the method follows the person rather than a protocol. For anxiety specifically, three things tend to matter.
We start with what’s happening now, not with your history. You don’t need the right words ready or a clear account of why you feel this way. Figuring that out is the work, not the entry requirement.
Sessions are 50 minutes, weekly to start. Some people come for a focused stretch around one period of anxiety. Others stay longer once the immediate pressure eases and something underneath becomes workable. We revisit frequency together as things change.

How do I know if I need therapy for anxiety?
If anxiety is affecting your sleep, your relationships, your work, or how you feel in your own body most days, it's worth addressing. You don't need to be in crisis. Many people wait years longer than they needed to.
Do you prescribe medication for anxiety?
No. As a therapist I don't prescribe. If medication seems worth exploring, I can talk it through with you and coordinate with your physician or a psychiatrist.
How long does anxiety therapy take?
It depends on what's driving it. Some people feel meaningfully better within a few months. Anxiety rooted in longer histories usually takes longer. We revisit frequency and length together as your goals change.
Do you offer online anxiety therapy in California?
Yes, anywhere in California. Many clients use a hybrid of in-person and virtual sessions. Fully virtual is available.
What does anxiety therapy cost?
Individual sessions are $150 for 50 minutes. All sessions are private pay, and I provide a superbill on request for out-of-network reimbursement. A limited number of reduced-fee spots are available.
We talk about what’s going on for you now, what brought you here, and what you’re hoping for. You don’t need to arrive with the right words. I respond personally to every inquiry within 48 hours.
